In Memory of Map Hay: A Loving Father
Donation protected
Our family is heartbroken by the loss of Map Hay. He was an amazing father, husband, and friend. He was born in Cambodia and came to the United States as a refugee during the war, seeking a better life for his family. He persevered through countless challenges and made many sacrifices to build a new life in Long Beach.
Our father found joy in nature, exploring forests, climbing trees to pick fresh fruit, fishing, and chasing waterfalls. He loved sharing these adventures with his children and was always ready to lend a hand to fix things around the house as a YouTube handyman.
Map’s kindness and playful spirit touched everyone he met. He leaves behind his wife and four children, including a 12 year old daughter, who are now facing the difficult task of preparing for his funeral. Map passed from a rare, aggressive cancer suddenly.
We are raising funds to help cover funeral services, support a monk for the ceremony, and provide for the family during this challenging time.
Any support will help us honor Map’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and for any help you can offer.
Love,
Hay Family
