In Memory of Mandy: Supporting Funeral Expenses

Mandy was a loving, caring, generous person. A mother, wife, daughter, sister. She, her wife, and son were traveling back here to Ohio from Savannah, Georgia to surprise family for Easter. She was unbelievably excited to spend time with her grandkids, but before she could, the unthinkable happened. She suffered a massive stroke and was taken to Toledo Hospital where she would have emergency surgery.

We hoped, prayed, and gave everything we had to offer in hopes that she would make it out alive. A few hours later the doctors told us that she made it through and we were joyous. Unfortunately, our hearts were shattered just two days later when the doctors told us she would never be Mandy again and she’d never wake up.

Mandy made the choice long ago that she wanted to be an organ donor. She has chosen to continue being the selfless and compassionate person she is and give this gift.
