In memory of Makena Lee Austin

On the morning of October 17th, our Makena was involved in a fatal crash. She fought hard for her life, and was able to hang on long enough for her most cherished loved ones to hold her hand one last time by her bedside. To feel her warmth, to kiss her cheek.

Unfortunately, on October 20th, we received the news that our Kenna would not be returning home. However, her heart would live on in another, along with everything else she could give to change the lives of so many people. She is no longer just our hero, and her sacrifice will mean more Christmases, Thanksgivings, and birthdays for another family.

We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support we have already received, from donations, to hot meals, to kind words and open arms. If you would like to donate, this money will go towards a memorial for Makena, to ensure care of her fur babies, and other unfortunate expenses. Any and all of your support is appreciated.
