In Memory of Madeline
Donation protected
On Wednesday September 14th, we lost Madeline to a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer that she endured for over a year. In true Madeline form, she fought fiercely and never lost her spark, her spirit or that laugh we love so much.
Even during dark days, Madeline was always a light – above all, she wanted to make sure everyone she loved was “okay”. In that spirit, please consider donating to help her new husband Ryan and the Howard family cover costs for her celebration of life. For those wishing to attend, celebration of life details can be found in Madeline's obituary.
We’ll be donating the remainder of proceeds to support Madeline’s friend Kristen, who is battling the same cancer and part of her support group at Dana Farber. She gave Madeline a small but sweet silver lining during her fight – an ear and a shoulder from someone who “gets it”, even while fighting her own battle. We are endlessly grateful to Kristen for giving Madeline that gift. Everyone’s love and support meant so much to Madeline, and we are honored to pay that forward in her memory, to spread a little extra love and kindness in the world and to say a big old f*ck you to cancer.
Madeline, if you’re reading this, we are heartbroken and miss you so much. We hope you’re somewhere warm and beautiful, laughing and carefree by the water you love so much and reuniting with Fraser and other special souls. You are forever our wife, daughter, sister, cool aunt, family, best friend, mama to Ziggy and the most beautiful person inside and out. We will forever think of you when we see butterflies, sunflowers, the ocean, pugs or anytime we hear a Dave Matthews Band song. And we promise to live a little bit better, bolder and more beautifully for you. We love you forever and know we’ll never walk alone.
