Our beloved Maddie has been taken from us to be with the Lord at 17 years old. Born August 12, 2002 she was a daughter, sister, niece, cousin and a best friend who touched the lives of many. Her beautiful and caring presence will be greatly missed. She dedicated her life to dance, starting at a young age and was on her high school dance team. She also had a great gift for art. She attended St. Luke's Episcopal School and Alamo Heights High School. Maddie loved spending time with her family, friends and her many dogs and cats. We are devastated and in disbelief of her sudden and needless passing. Please help us raise money in this devastating time to support Maddie's funeral cost. Thank you sincerely.
There have been much concern over this fundraiser being fraud, maybe I should have explained a little more in my description but at the time we were just notified of Maddie's senseless death we were not thinking anyone would question validity of this fundraiser. Rest assured because of the concerns Go Fund Me has verified fundraiser. There has also been question as to my relation to Maddie... Maddie and my daughter attended SLES and have known each other since first grade. I have been close to mother like a sister since then. I would do anything for her, Maddie & Sam and she would do anything for my family and has. To explain circumstances a little more, fundraiser is for mom and brother of Maddie. Maddie's mom has been through much family trauma and financial hardship and now lose her only daughter all within the last couple of months. WE are so grateful for the monies raised and though the mom would not have asked for them herself I knew the circumstances and asked for help for her and Sam (brother). Mom has been amazed at the outpour of love for Maddie and is THANKFUL to everyone who has supported her and Sam. She has asked me to place this prayer request for Maddie:
My beautiful daughter, Madeline May Pendon with her playful, warm, and forgiving heart, lost her life on April 20, 2020 I am sending out a prayer request that her final resting place on this earth be indulged. She wanted to be buried in the country and not in the city. Maddie and I shared a mother-daughter bond and very special connection that was so strong. We could physically feel each other in moments of bliss and moments of sadness. I felt my daughters soul leave this earth. Maddie suffered for many years with deep emotional pain and I know that God took Maddie early so that she would no longer have to suffer and could be happy, joyous and free in heaven. She would want to be close to me and her brother, Samuel, so that we can go and visit her often and talk to her as part of our grieving. Sadly, there is conflict in regards to her final resting place. I am asking for your prayers and love that Maddie’s wishes and mine as her mother be indulged peacefully and that she be buried at Hill Country Cemetary.
