In Memory of Lura Lenfest

Donation protected
On June 26th, Lura Lenfest lost her battle with heart failure at the age of 57. A long-time and very involved member of 12 step recovery, the number of lives she touched is truly incapable of measuring. She was a dedicated mother, a dear friend to many, and a remarkably resourceful hard worker with a sharp sense of humor. Before she became disabled from her condition four years ago, she had begun attending college and had planned to take her long-time passion and insight helping fellow struggling addicts with her into the criminal justice field.

Her desire for good in this world and concern for others continued until the moment her heart gave out. She was always generous with her time and resources, limited as they were, and the lessons and support she provided selflessly to so many will be remembered. The light she brought into this world will live on in the work she did, and the lives she touched.

Funds donated will be used to settle the affairs she leaves behind, any funeral and memorial costs, to help ensure the care of her furbaby Dorito, and to help with expenses related to the life transition of her daughter, Morgan, and Morgan’s fiancé Jay, who gladly dedicated this past half a year of their lives to living with and fighting alongside Lura in the struggle to get proper healthcare for her, caring for her as her heart failure advanced. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
