I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult time to ask for your support.

This past week, I was caring for my friend’s beloved dog, Luna, while they were out of town. In a heartbreaking accident, Luna got out while taking her to go to the bathroom and was hit by a car. I rushed her to the emergency vet immediately, but despite every effort to save her, Luna passed away due to her injuries.

As you can imagine, this has been devastating — both emotionally and financially. I feel completely responsible for what happened and want to have covered the emergency veterinary costs, which totaled $1,289.20. These bills include the ER exam, imaging, and critical care efforts as well as the costs for cremation after she passed away. I’m not requesting the full amount, but even a portion of this would help me financially.

I loved Luna so much. I took care of her all the time ever since she was brought home from the animal shelter. She was such a sweet, joyful soul, and it breaks my heart that her life ended this way — especially while in my care. I want to do everything I can to honor her memory.
