Hi, I'm Kirsten, a longtime close friend of Lukasz Radomski whom many of us have had the pleasure of knowing. Tragically, we lost Luke on Monday, October 6th of this year. It's incredibly hard for me to even write these words.
I've been friends with Luke so long that I couldn't even tell you when we met. From Zevely House to Hutch and Harris - at one point in time we were even roommates. While we all know he had a rather prickly personality at times, once you got to know him that Grinch facade would melt away. You'd find yourself with one of the greatest friends you could ever have.
Through his years of working in the restaurant business he has touched many lives and made a lasting impression that will help many through this very difficult time.
Some of you might be aware that he had been struggling with health issues for some time and was on a years long waitlist for an organ transplant that he might not have even lived to see. When the call came that the surgery was going to happen, I, Stephanie, and his family thought that this was the miracle we were waiting for. Instead we are all left with this devastating outcome.
I am here asking for help for his family and the immense financial burden that is now placed upon them. The unexpected costs of cremation, getting Luke's remains sent from Massachusetts to North Carolina, and his final inurnment was not something his family was prepared for at this time. Any donation big or small would be an immense blessing in this time of need.
My heartfelt condolences go to his family and Luke will always be a part of mine.
