It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our sweet Lukas, a beautiful 4-year-old boy whose bright blue eyes and radiant smile touched everyone who met him. Though his life was short, it was filled with love, laughter, and courage. His presence lit up every room, and his love brought comfort and happiness to his parents, Eric and Elizabeth, and siblings, Ava and Parker, and everyone else who knew him.

Lukas was born on December 18th, 2020, at 33 weeks and 2 days. He was born with gastroschisis, which led him to spend his first 44 days in the NICU, away from his family. Lukas was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, so he was not allowed visitors. His family could only view him through a webcam. Lukas lived with spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, which is a condition that impacts the movement of all 4 limbs. He faced limitations, such as being wheelchair-bound, requiring a feeding tube, and being unable to speak. Lukas faced each day with strength and joy.

Lukas' passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving his family devastated and facing unimaginable grief. No parent or family is ever prepared for a time like this. During this difficult time, we are coming together to support Eric, Elizabeth, and their family with funeral expenses, time away from work, and the many costs that come with navigating such a heartbreaking loss.
