To the family and friends of my mom, Luz "Lucy" Jimenez.

On January 5th, 2026, after many months of fighting to recover from health complications, my mother passed away during surgery.

My beautiful mother was gentle and kind. She always did her best to ensure that everyone she met felt seen and valued, wearing a smile that conveyed her warmth, whether they were a stranger or a family member. She was also a selfless person who always put others before herself, despite the circumstances and hardships she faced. Even in the last couple of months of her life, through the unimaginable pain she was going through, she fought hard to get better, not for herself but for my sister and me. Her love was strong, even until the very end.

As we grieve the loss of a beautiful soul, my family is faced with the costs of laying her to rest with the dignity that she deserves. We plan on holding two services. The first will be held here in the US, giving the friends she made here a chance to say goodbye. The second one will be held in Mexico, fulfilling her wish to return home as her final resting place.

Funds raised will be used directly towards funeral and memorial expenses, both in the U.S. and for transportation and burial in Mexico. Every donation and sharing of this page is greatly appreciated to help our family.
