On what should have been one of the happiest moments of their lives, everything changed in an instant for Paige and her partner, Trae. Their beautiful daughter, Love Kacey Ford, was stillborn due to a sudden and unexpected placental abruption. In one heartbreaking moment, they went from preparing to meet their baby girl to saying goodbye.

Love was deeply wanted, deeply prayed for, and already deeply loved. Though her time here was brief, she made them parents, and she will forever remain a cherished part of their family. The grief of losing a child is unimaginable, and Paige and Trae are now navigating a loss no parent should ever have to endure.

Paige, originally from New Orleans and a proud graduate of LSU, works locally as a veterinary technician caring for animals and supporting pet owners throughout the Spring community. Trae was born and raised in Houston and serves his community as a teacher at Spring High School. They are both hardworking, compassionate people who care deeply about the people and communities they serve every day.

Along with the overwhelming emotional pain, this tragedy has also brought unexpected financial strain. Medical bills from the emergency delivery, funeral and memorial expenses for Love, and time away from work to grieve and recover have quickly added up.
