Hi- we received a VERY generous donation today that will cover the cost of the services on Saturday. Money that has been raised will be put towards Lori’s medical debt and to have her headstone engraved.
The family, again, wants to thank each and every one of you for your kindness, no matter what form it came in, they give their heartfelt thank you ❤️
We are going to shut down the GoFundMe. Although they still have work to do and debt to pay, the generosity of everyone, has made it possible for them to breathe again.
Thank you ❤️
As many of you know, Lori was diagnosed in December 2024 with stage 4 lung cancer. Despite the terminal diagnosis, in honor of Jaeden, her son, who she lost on April 26, 2020, she decided to continue her education, in addition to an internship to fulfill the promise to honor her son's life, to become an addiction counselor. Lori fulfilled that promise and graduated on May 14, 2025. Unfortunately, that's also the day it was discovered the cancer had moved to her brain.
Lori was a free spirit who loved a good spontaneous adventure. She lived her life to its fullest.
Ebin, her nephew, described Lori the best: "She possessed an unwavering spirit, always finding laughter and sharing it with others, no matter the circumstance. Her resilience and joy were a gift to everyone who knew her, a reminder that even in the hardest moments lightness could be found."
After Lori lost her son, she lost a little of herself. Everything she had ever worked for was for Jaeden. In her grief, she canceled her life insurance policies, never expecting something like this would happen.
Aside from dealing with this terrible loss, the family is trying to figure out how to pay for visitation and burial services. All money raised will be for the sole purpose of these services.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Whether it be financially, prayers, or helping get the word out, everything is deeply appreciated.
