In Memory of Lorenzo Palacios: A Family's Heartbreak

These past three weeks have been an absolute nightmare. My dad suffered an accident at work and needed surgery. The surgery was successful, and he was on his way to recovery and out of danger. However, he suffered a stroke, cardiac arrest, and multiple clots in his brain. He underwent emergency surgery, and the situation took a turn for the worse. He became unresponsive and was placed on life support. On the March 19th he was taken off life support, and he passed away. He took his last breath and his heart stopped beating just before 3 pm. This feels so surreal; I’m trapped in a nightmare from which I can’t wake up. Rest in peace, Papi.
