In memory of Lizeth Ramirez Barroeta

Dear Family and Friends,

Our beloved Lizeth Ramirez Barroeta recently passed on August 13th, 2022 at 11am. Lizeth was a fighter, she beat cancer twice before. Her unmeasurable faith kept her going until the end. This time around, Cancer took Lizeth from us, but her unconditional love for all and her teachings will remain with us forever.

We are sure that for many of us Lizeth has been an Angel on Earth. She lived her life being an example of genuine care, generosity and kindness. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, friend and community member. Her dedication to our community was a priority in her life. She led and supported multiple UNR Extension outreach programs in collaboration with Washoe County School District. She was also very committed to multiple activities within the Catholic Church. Her active leadership and support to various causes allowed her the opportunity to touch many lives and families providing unconditional support and love.

Lizeth leaves behind her beloved husband, Gonzalo, her parents, four siblings and so many friends. She will be deeply missed.

We are all devastated by the loss of Lizeth. This funding is organized with the aim of helping the family with hospital bills, the funeral service, cremation, and transportation of the ashes to Monterrey, Mexico, as those were her wishes. We want to give Lizeth the memorial she deserves, honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.

Lizeth always found her strength in God and her resolute and heartfelt faith. We are sure she is now resting in heaven, and we appreciate all the prayers for her soul to rest.

Querida Familia y Amigos,

Nuestra querida Lizeth Ramirez Barroeta falleció el 13 de Agosto de 2022 a las 11am. Ella era una gran luchadora que venció el cancer dos veces en el pasado. Su fe sin límites la mantuvo en pie hasta el final. Esta vez cnacer nos la robó, pero sus enseñanzas y amor incondicional permanecerán con nosotros para siempre.

Estamos seguros que para muchos de nosotros ella fue un Ángel en la Tierra. Lizeth vivió su vida siendo un ejemplo de generosidad, cariño y amor. Ella fue maravillosa en su rol como esposa, hija, hermana, amiga y miembro de la comunidad. Su dedicación a nuestra comunidad siempre fue una prioridad en su vida. Ella lideró diversos programas de ayuda a familias y niños a través de la Extensión de la Universidad de Nevada, Reno en colaboración con el Distrito escolar del condado de Washoe. Ella también participó activamente en distintas actividades de la Iglesia Católica. Su liderazgo y apoyo a múltiples iniciativas le permitieron ayudar a muchas familias y personas brindándoles su cariño incondicional.

Su esposo, Gonzalo, padres, hermanos y amigos están devastados con su temprana partida. Todos la extrañaremos.

Hemos creado este grupo de ayuda para recaudar fondos y así poder ayudar a su familia a cubrir los gastos médicos, el funeral, la cremación y el traslado de sus cenizas a Monterrey, Mexico, como así fueron sus deseos. Todas las donaciones son bienvenidas y ayudarán a Gonzalo Barroeta -su esposo- y la familia de Lizeth durante estos tiempos difíciles.

Lizeth siempre estuvo muy cerca a Dios y tuvo una fe inquebrantable. Estamos seguros de que ella descansa en paz en el paraíso. Les agradecemos todas sus oraciones para el descanso eterno de su alma.
