In memory of Linny Gilman

Hi everyone! 

Our friend Cindy Plasynski (Gilman) recently lost her mom.  On the morning of July 21 2021, her beautiful mother, Linny Gilman passed away peacefully with her partner Rick and her children by her side. 

For those of us that have been fortunate to know Linny, she was an amazing person.  For over 40 years since coming to the US, Lynn gave everything she could to her family back in the Philippines while also supporting many other Filipinos who immigrated to the US with her support.  Lynn always kept her family close and would regularly make meals for 30 or more people.  She treated all of these people as her family and provided for them unconditionally.  She loved her children, and grandchildren dearly and captured almost every moment with her iPad, often while giggling.

Cindy’s step dad, Rick, was an equal partner in Lynn’s generosity to the Filipino community.  He recently retired and was planning to spend his retirement traveling and making memories with her mom. We would love to help support Rick and continue his dreams of spending retirement traveling with his grandkids and family by his side.  As Lynn was the recipient of a Kidney transplant 9 years ago, her and Rick had significant medical expenses associated with medications she was taking and specialty medical care.  Any money contributed would be used to support the family in their funeral expenses and also enable Linny’s siblings to bring some of her ashes to the Philippines to lay her to rest where she grew up.  

We are so grateful to have you all help support our friends during a very difficult time. We hope Rick can use these funds to cover upcoming expenses and keep his dreams of traveling with his family alive.
