Lewis is the Dad of Sophia, our Ladybridge Vipers U9's Goalkeeper.
Tragically, he passed away unexpectedly last week, leaving his Wife Michelle, and daughters Sophia and Eloise.

It goes without saying that this is a huge shock to his family and all who knew him, and as a community we want to pull together to raise funds to help with any funeral expenses and help Michelle and the girls to navigate the coming weeks and months without having the added worry of finances.

Through Sophia's football, Lewis has made many friends across Ladybridge FC and grassroots football in Bolton. His support for Sophia on the pitch was unwavering, and he became the official team videographer for both Ladybridge Vipers and Ladybridge Lionesses. His friendly, funny and all-round loveable character was clear for all to see at every match and his pride in Sofia was clear for all to see. When she makes a super save - she and everyone on the pitch would hear his pride break out in encouraging yells!

The Bundys are such a huge part of the football family at both Ladybridge and across the Bolton and Bury League in mixed and girls football- always there to show their support - proper sideline parents, dragging Eloise to every match and practice - and Eloise a bundle of cheer, playing with all of the other siblings and parents whilst cheering her sister on.

There is no doubt that the girls will continue to make their Daddy proud, and a part of him will be always be there on the pitch with Sophia, and Eloise.

Ladybridge Vipers manager Phil Hamer has written this tribute:
"The sudden loss of Lewis is a devastating blow to the Vipers family, and his presence on the sidelines and within our team will be deeply missed. The Bundy Family have always been a huge part of the Vipers.

Lewis was at the heart of everything, with his humour, quick wit and unwavering support for every single player. Over the past two years, Lewis has been our teams dedicated camera man. Giving up his spare time recording and editing our matches. Michelle has always been the one keeping us organised with fixture information and arrangements, and of course we can't forget our goalkeeper superstar, Sophia.

We first came together at Ladybridge FC when the children were just 6. Since then we have all grown incredibly close as a team, bonding over our love of watching the children grow through football. Over the years, players have moved on and new ones have joined, but one thing always remained the same - Lewis' warm, happy and welcoming attitude.

As a team we want to do what we can to help Michelle, Sophia (9) and Eloise (2) during this incredibly difficult time.

RIP Mate x"

We hope that you can make a small donation in Lewis' memory to help the Bundys and lessen their load, which at this time is unfathomable. If you can't then please just share across the grassroots football family.

Michelle has asked that we respect the family's privacy at this time and doesn't want lots of questions as you can imagine.
No details of the funeral will be posted on here.

Our suggestion is that you leave a comment or a memory alongside your donation if you wish to, and that way Michelle and the girls can look at them in their own time and when they are ready.

Thank You all for helping to show just how much the Bundy family mean to all of us.
