In Memory of Lenny Johnson

On Sunday July 30th 2023, Vera and Leonard Johnson, the parents of the beloved son James “Lenny” Johnson, suffered a heartbreak that no parent should ever have to feel. James “Lenny” Johnson gained his angel wings in the early hours of the morning. This sudden tragedy has deeply affected the Johnson family.

James “Lenny” Johnson celebrated his 44th birthday on July 27, 2023. According to his mother, Lenny was proud of himself for making it to 44 years old as a hard-working man. Lenny was beyond a hard-working man. He was a super father to his two daughters, Jeralynn Smith and Lani Johnson, supportive brother to his younger brother, Bryan Johnson, and great spirit to an abundance of others. Lenny held a great passion for helping others no matter his personal struggles. He loved extending his offerings and caring for his loved ones. When walking in a room, Lenny had a contagious spirit that filled the room with love and compassion.

In addition to all of the glorious characteristics Lenny held, he also excelled in sports and academics. For majority of his early youth, he maintained athleticism through the sport of football. Courageously, he played football for Bluefield High School and Marshall University. He graduated from Marshall University in the year of 2004 with a bachelors degree in Adult Fitness. Overall, Lenny proved to this world that kind hearted and loving people really do exist. His family and friends cherish the lasting memories he has bestowed upon them.

Due to his untimely death, the Johnson family has been put in a unfortunate position. While having to plan Lenny Johnsons funeral service, they are also facing funeral expenses.
