On August 4th, 2025, Latroia Swift, age 43, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.

Born and raised in Omaha, Latroia was known for her selfless heart, her unwavering faith, and the warmth of a smile that lit up every room she entered.

She spent her life caring for others — both as a devoted mother of seven and as a medical aide at New Castle Nursing Home, where she served faithfully for the past 15 years. Her patients adored her, and her coworkers often said she was the kind of caregiver everyone hoped to have.

Latroia was the beloved lifelong partner of Troy Hill, a valued member of the team at Quin Global. Together, they raised a beautiful family: Troy (27), Sakari (25), Quan (23), Julia (19), Carlyonna (16), Kayaire (15), and Trillion (11). Her children were her world — and she remained their constant source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love.

In August 2024, Latroia was diagnosed with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer, which had already spread to her bones. Despite every effort, chemotherapy treatments became ineffective, and the focus shifted to comfort and peace. Latroia spent her final days surrounded by family, rooted in faith, and full of grace.
