In memory of late Pradeep Chummun

We are all grieving the sudden and unexpected loss of our dear Pradeep (Chandrassen) Chummun, a NHS charge nurse who tragically lost his battle with COVID-19. Pradeep worked tirelessly on the NHS frontline throughout the pandemic before becoming unwell, after years spent working in the NHS.
He was a devoted, caring and supportive husband, father, friend and co-worker whose loss will be felt by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and young son.
We hope to raise funds to help his wife Medha meet the unplanned costs of the sudden demise of her dear husband. Medha lost Pradeep yesterday 26th December.
Pradeep himself tragically lost his elder son in 2015. The last five years have been very trying for the family who drew strength from each other and their young son, their respective families and supportive friends. Their firm beliefs in God and regular prayers also provided them the peace and comfort that the Almighty is with them and guiding them through their difficulties in life.
Those who knew Pradeep closely know how very passionate he was about Mauritius, his country of birth, the NHS, his traditions and customs and his favourite football club, Manchester United. I have known Pradeep to be very kind at heart, always prepared to help anybody.
In the current situation with the pandemic and also, taking into account, the time of the year, it will take some time before the NHS will be able to provide funds.
Medha and her family would like to have her late husband cremated at the earliest opportunity, in line with Hindu traditions.
We appeal to your generosity on this occasion in order to help with any donations, however little, so that there is one less worry on Medha and her family.
