Our dear friends Sabrina Farolan and Peter Persaud had their world turned upside down on January 13, 2026, when they tragically and unexpectedly lost their son, Kylo, just one week before his second birthday.

Kylo was gentle, easy going, and a happy little boy with a magnetic personality. He was deeply loved by his two big sisters, Mya (8) and Luna (5) who absolutely adored him. Their bond was something truly special, and the loss of their little brother has left an unimaginable void in their family.

Kylo was part of the MLCP community, where he was a student, just as Luna and his cousin Jocelyn is today, and where Mya also attended. This loss is felt not only by his family, but by a community that watched him grow and loved him dearly.

As friends, we have been thinking about how to support Sabrina and Peter during this time of profound grief. Their families are coming together to help cover funeral arrangements and immediate needs, but we know that loss brings many ongoing and unexpected expenses, as well as the need for time, space, and support to grieve and heal.

This GoFundMe has been created by friends to offer support both now and in the months ahead. The funds raised will help with any additional expenses associated with the funeral/memorial, time away from work, counseling, and general family needs as they navigate life after such a heartbreaking loss.
