It is with a very heavy heart to announce today Wednesday February 10th, 2021 that we lost one of the core pillars of our family, my father, Konstantinos (Gus) Intounas.
For anyone who knew my father, they knew there was no one else like him. He was always so full of life, couldn’t sit still while always putting his family first. He was a man of many talents and everyone knew him as the family videographer, bartender, painter, gardener, dancer, comedian but above all the rock and glue of our family.
He found his soulmate young and started a family that grew over the years. He was able to see his 5 granddaughters grow up and flourish into the women they are today with much influence over the years. We are forever grateful for the amazing experiences, memories and love that he has created for us and our families as well as anyone he met.
He’s been an incredible role model and supportive father, who has taught me and our whole family life lessons we will continue to carry with us for the rest of our lives.
He lived a very full, happy life, and even though we always want more time, memories and moments to hold him close, we are very fortunate for how much time he did spend with us whether in Greece or Canada.
We all will cherish the amazing memories, experiences and laughter we got to share with him.
May his memories be eternal and on behalf of our family, we truly appreciate all the love and messages from everyone who knew him. He was a legend that will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to ask for donations to be made via GoFundMe that will be used to help the church where he will be buried and honoured as well as those in need in the community of Rapsomati, Greece where he grew up.
