In the early morning of January 17th, tragedy struck our family. My uncle David’s home was engulfed in flames. He was the only one who made it out. Unfortunately, we lost 3 family members to the fire. Pawpaw Garrett (96), Dani (20), and Kirsten (22). It hasn’t even been a full year since this family had had to grieve an unexpected passing. We are broken beyond what words can describe. Kirsten had so many dreams and ambitions. She was attending southeastern to one day become a lawyer. She was the life of the party in her small circle of friends and family. One of her closest friends was Dani. It’s hard to say Dani was a friend, because truly she was family. She called uncle David dad and when aunt Brandy was still here with us, that was her mom. She was truest just another one of uncle David’s kids. Dani’s family is at such a loss as well. She was everything to her parents and grandparents. Dani slept over after a night full of adventure with Kirsten. Those girls were even inseparable in their last moments. Pawpaw Garrett at his old age of 96 still had a lot of fight left in him. They will all be missed. They are pieces of a puzzle that will never truly be complete again even as time passes. We are so thankful for all the prayers we have received. We are asking for donations to help cover all 3 funeral cost. Any small or big donation will help ease the stress on such a difficult time.
