There are no words to describe the tornado of brilliance that was Kirk Vasquez. His heart was explosive. His pitching was dynamic. His energy was contagious. He was a son, a brother, a friend, a teammate and a baseball player. And one of the funniest people ever to walk the face of the earth. On February 26, 2019, Kirk passed away from a catastrophic vehicle accident that has left everyone in his life reeling with loss.
He was the kind of person who would give you a hug and tell you how much he appreciated your friendship. Kirk was like no other. And he will be missed tremendously by countless friends and his family.
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to #8. Kirk’s passing is tragic not only for his loss of life but also for the devastating effects on his family. Please know that any amount — no matter how small — will benefit the Vasquez family. Here we will honor our friend and son by raising donations to help the family be relieved of some of the financial burden from this untimely and earth shattering, life changing tragedy.
He is survived by his mom, Samantha, his dad, David, his sisters Rikki and Serena, grandparents, uncles and cousins and too many friends, coaches and brothers to count and he will live in our hearts forever.
We love you, Kirk.
