In Memory of Kinsley: Cuddle Cots for Families

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kali Linn and I am raising money to buy 1-2 cuddle cots for hospitals in need. Each cot is $3,000. A cuddle cot is something I pray none of you need to know about. It is a bassinet that the hospital uses to cool down deceased babies to help slow down decaying and preserve them longer so families that had to say goodbye before they could say hello can spend quality time with their sweet angels. Some families, when their hospital does not have the cuddle cots, are only allowed hours with their babies. I luckily got to spend 3 days with my baby and even that is not enough; no amount of time is ever enough, but the cuddle cots do allow families time they so desperately need. I am doing this fundraiser in honor of my sweet angel Kinsley May. I plan to raise the money so I can give these cuddle cots away for her 1st birthday on December 3rd.

Kinsley's story,

I found out I was pregnant with my first baby in April 2024 after trying for a while with my husband. We were over the moon when we saw those two lines FINALLY pop up! We couldn't wait to meet our sweet baby. We found out she was a girl and instantly fell in love with the thought of getting to raise a sweet girl. We had the name Kinsley May picked out long before we ever even started to try for our family. So instantly, she had a name. Kinsley was a part of every conversation from there on out. Everything we did, Kinsley was there too. We made so many memories with her inside my stomach and were so excited to make even more when she arrived. My pregnancy was going smoothly other than a mild case of gestational diabetes that was diet-controlled, and she was breech the whole time. Due to Kinsley being breech, we were scheduled for a C-section on December 10th, 2024. However, on December 3rd, 2024, our whole world crashed around us. I didn't feel my sweet girl moving, so we rushed to the hospital to have them place the doppler on my stomach, and I then heard the 5 dreaded words, "I'm sorry, there's no heartbeat." At 38 weeks and 1 day, my baby had died, and I was now faced with the impossible decisions that come with a baby that never takes their first breath. Thankfully, our hospital had a cuddle cot that we got to use and spend 3 very precious and memorable days with our sweet girl. We took over 1,000 pictures and videos, sang to her, read to her, and just held her for hours and hours. This cause means so much to me, and everyone who's unfortunate enough to have to use a cuddle cot.
