In Memory of Kimberlie's Father Herman

Hello, My name is Laura and I’m here to help my best friend Kimberlie Martinez. We have been best friends since 7th grade and I had known her since we were about 13 years old. We really started hanging out a lot and just became close through our adult years and became like sisters basically. Her Dad was basically an adopted Dad to me as well. Her Dad ended up in February falling and breaking his hip and had emergency surgery and was in a rehab home for a week in Visalia and was moved rehab place in Tulare to be closer to his daughter. He ended up with a sore on his foot with what we believe to be an ulcer and then shortly after ended up sick and was taken to the ER where we were informed he had Covid and pneumonia and his troponin levels were high then they went down then rose back up to the thousands and they should be about 50. As time went on they had informed us that his levels kept rising and that his heart was giving out and she had to make a decision of hospice care or ICU for intubation to see if he would come out of it or not. Well we knew what he would want and that he was already frustrated that he couldn’t get up on his own and use the restroom. Herman didn’t want to depend on people to have to feed him etc. So she had to make the hard decision of hospice care and we got the call May 8th, 2025 that he had passed away around 1:25 A.M. So with all being said, “we are trying to do everything we can to raise money for funeral/memorial expenses.” So any and all help is appreciated! If you can or would like to donate or even just send prayers for the Family, friends and all loved ones deal with his passing.
