Our world has such a tremendous void today without Kevin Morgan.
His presence in our lives has been one of the greatest gifts. We cannot say that we've known anyone to live fuller, love more fiercely, give more of themselves, or make us laugh harder. We feel confident in saying that there has never been anyone like Kevin and there never will be again. He is truly one of a kind, and we will miss him immeasurably.
Kevin passed away yesterday, on Christmas. He fought a courageous 5 1/2 year battle with Stage IV kidney cancer with Herculean strength, determination, and grace. Above all else, he willed himself to stay for as long as he could for Mia, Avila, and Cambria, who were the center of his world. His love and devotion for these three women was palpable in every moment. We know that his greatest wish would be for all of us to wrap them in love and support at this time.
A veteran of more than 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, adventuring to Alaska, up and down the California coast, FL, and the northeast, he retired due to his illness. Kevin, Mia, Avila, and Cambria filled the last 5 years with as much love, travel, and humor as possible. He was one of a kind, Mia's soulmate, the most devoted father to Avila and Cambria, and to all of us, a best friend. Please keep their family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this world without him. And PLEASE consider contributing for funeral services and towards the dreams that Kevin had laid out for the lives of Mia, Avila, and Cambria.
For now, we will not say goodbye, only thank you, Kevin, for such love, friendship, and laughter.
