In addition to being a strong and compassionate leader, he was an amazing father. He is survived by his two children Ashley, and Kevin Jr. Kevin always spoke about how proud he was of his daughter, how he was so happy to see her grow into a beautiful and flourishing young woman. He never could contain his joy when mentioning his son either. He told exciting stories about his basketball games and just watching him grow up. His kids were his pride and joy, and their success and happiness was the most important thing in his life.
Some things he was passionate about were cooking, movies, and most importantly, the Dallas Cowboys. He was extremely creative with his recipes and could make something out of nothing. He always insisted that he was so good in the kitchen because of his mother.
Kevin struggled with kidney failure for the past two years, but he was always optimistic and strong. He insisted on driving himself to and from dialysis, even though it was very painful for him. Over the past two years, he was in and out of the hospital receiving surgery due to complications from the dialysis port. Over the past month, he was incredibly sick and was trauma-hawked to Tampa where he spent a month in the ICU. Upon arriving we found out in addition to his kidneys failing, his liver had failed as well. He lost his battle with this horrible illness on Thursday,July 9th. He will be greatly missed by many. He was loved and adored. He was an amazing man, and he was truly one of a kind.
