"Best Kid EVER", "Kindest and most patient", "Kindest soul", "Amazing young man", "Sweetest and gentlest". These and countless others are the accolades that are pouring in in memory of our nephew, son, grandson, brother and uncle; Kevin Devey passed away suddenly on October 20th, leaving behind his mother, his older sister Shaylyn, his younger brother, Thorin and youngest sister Arora. Everyone who was lucky enough to know him knows that he was one of the best people in the world. One of the kindest, most patient, most gentle people in all of our lives. His loss is everyone's loss.
Kev's 20 years of life are full of stories of his impact on everyone who was lucky enough to meet him. He lived to be outdoors; to say that camping was his favorite thing in life would be an understatement. Growing up in Sanpete County gave Kev access to the best outdoor experiences one could possibly ask for. He loved building, tweaking, and riding anything with wheels like a pro! He was at home on a bike! Racing R/C trucks was another favorite pastime; he always had to show me what he had done to his latest build. He tricked them out, and they were always able to do the coolest stunts!
Kev loved vehices of any shape or size! He'd often send me posts of trucks he'd find and tell me what he'd do to restore them. He was currently restoring a truck he bought from his uncle. His mother intends to finish the project that he started as a way to honor his memory.
He loved children, especially his younger siblings, Thorin and Arora. He was always there when needed to help out with babysitting or picking up kids from school and acting as chauffer when a mother needed help. He was loved by all of his younger cousins and took his role as the oldest sibling, cousin and nephew very seriously.
We are hoping to lessen the tremendous financial burden that Kevin's unexpected death will bring to Cindy. 100% of the proceeds of this fund will go directly to her to offset costs and provide for his siblings.
