Funeral Expenses for Kenneth Wichoski, Sr.

Donation protected

I'm creating a go fund me for my father in law Kenneth Wichoski, a long life Westfield resident. He passed away unexpectedly before midnight on August 30th in his mother's home in Bayville, NJ.

Anyone who knew him, loved him. He was a loyal Son , Brother, Husband, Father , Uncle and Grandfather. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy, wife, Barbara, sons, Kenneth and Anthony, daughter Christina, grandkids, Tessa, Aubrianna and Joseph, brother Edward, son in law, Josh, daughter in law, Sophia and Liz and many other family and friends who loved him.

My father in law was an extremely hard worker. He was known by many in Westfield for working on the baseball fields to working at Bovella's for over a decade. He worked extremely hard for the little he had to support his family.

Throughout the years my father in law and mother in law have been really struggling financially. They lost their home in Westfield a couple Years before the pandemic and both have been battling health issues leaving Dad (Ken) as the sole provider even though he had struggles himself.

The past couple years during the pandemic, he's been in and out of the hospital for surgeries , battling health issues and even had to live in a rehab facility for some time. None of his struggles though were we expecting this. At this time, we don't know what caused his death.

Unfortunately, living pay to check to pay check and not having any source of income for the past couple years due to health and over the top medical bills, they had zero savings or any arrangements in the event of something like this happening.

Any money raised will go directly to the costs in giving him a proper funeral for his family andf friends to say their goodbyes. If there is any money left over, the rest will be given to his wife, Barbara to try to get herself on her feet. Due to her battles of health, she has been out of work for years.

He was a HUGE Mets fan. He loved decorating for the holidays especially Halloween and Christmas. He played Santa in front of Bovellas for years which he always looked forward to it. He had a great sense of humor, loved to garden and had a dream to move Montana one day. He loved his family deeply and would do anything for them and would drop anything to be there for you. He was the best hands on grandfather anyone could ask for.

It's very hard to ask for help especially in a time during a pandemic when everyone is going through their own struggles. Any help is greatly appreciated. He was a great man. He was quiet, never bothered anyone, a family man and a hard worker.

At this time, the family thanks everyone for their support and prayers.
