Hello friends and family, we are a group of friends starting a GoFundMe for the Heimann family. We have been friends with the Heimann family for 24+ years in Raleigh, NC. We have watched how cancer can invade a family and cause deep-felt sorrow and pain to everyone.

Ken has spent his adult life in the US Air Force and construction, creating tangible results for others. In December 2024, Ken was told the news that nobody wants to hear. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. In January 2025, Ken and Christina decided to move in with their daughter in NC to have access to great medical care from UNC Healthcare System. As time has progressed, so has the aggressive cancer taking over Ken’s body and destroying the many dreams of his and Christina. In the beginning, the plan was to keep the cancer to a slow pace and possibly beat it. In July 2025, the family was instructed to change direction of care and prepare for the worst.

We have created this GoFundMe to go directly into a joint account of the Heimann family. We are asking you to open your heart and share a prayer and financial donation to aid during this difficult situation. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ken doesn’t have life insurance or prepaid arrangements of what is to come. These funds will ease the financial burdens of the family while traveling to hospitals, appointments, and the afterlife choices to Ken’s final resting place.

On Monday, July 28 2025, Ken's body succumbed to this horrible disease called cancer. In the early morning hours, surrounded by those he loved, Ken's soul left this world and was honored with a new body that is whole, pain and cancer free, and resting with those who have passed before. As per Ken's wishes, he will be cremated and remains given to Christina. A private ceremony is being planned for a future time and furthered support is greatly appreciated.
