In Memory of Keira Kagan

Jennifer Kagan-Viater, an amazing physician, mom, and friend, tragically and suddenly lost her daughter at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area yesterday.  Keira Kagan was a vibrant 4 year old girl.  She was absolutely the most special girl you could ever ask for.  She was kind-hearted, a wonderful big sister and loving daughter.  Keira was the kind of person that would change the world for the better.

Her life cannot be in vain.  We are reaching out to raise money to commemorate her life.  The funds will be used towards making a difference in this world and to memorialize her.  The family will use the funds to donate towards a cause that was important to Keira.   As a community, we must come together and help such a wonderful family hit by such great tragedy.

The young girl had several passions. One will be chosen and donated to after the funeral and shiva, as her mom wants to ensure they pick the best one to represent her daughter’s legacy but need time to grieve first.  

There are numerous possibilities including a cause related to intimate partner violence or assistance to children who are in jeopardy in the court system.  Keira wanted to make others happy, especially children, and her mom will use this fund to contribute to that. No money will go to the family or funeral costs.
