The world lost amazing woman with the passing of Kathy Hennings. Just days after celebrating her 60th birthday, she had major heart surgery. While her heart came out for the better, the rest of her did not. Shortly after the operation, she suffered a catastrophic stroke and never woke up. She was called with God on September 19, taking her final breath with her fiance Rod and me at her side.
My mom was an amazing woman. She couldn't go anywhere without making new friends. She had such a big heart and was giving of herself to make someone else's day just a little better. She loved being outside, whether tending to the garden and watching her sunflowers, at the Mustangs baseball games, or watching ducks at the park. Nature was a home to her and she stewarded it well. And she always had to get something Grinch related every Christmas. We couldn't go anywhere that sold Grinch stuff without going to look at it, even if she already had everything!
Now we are left to pick up the pieces and complete final arrangements. Funeral parlor costs and household bills are weighing on the family, and any amount you can provide will provide assistance to keep things afloat during this difficult time. I didn't realize through this tragedy just how many people her strength, kindness and love touched through her life. Thank you for sharing, for giving, and for your love and support in this time.
