In Memory of Kathleen Hayes: Funeral Support Needed
Donation protected
Dear All ,
It is with profound sadness and disappointment that we announce the passing of Kathleen M. Hayes on April 18, 2025. After A heroic two-month battle with complications resulting into an amputation above the knee, the insertion of a feeding tube, septic infection from the bedsores, and replying on a ventilator, Kathleen bravely fought every single day until she drew her last breath. She embodied grit and silence and was undoubtably a fighter till the end.
Tragically, the untimely death of Kathleen is a clear testament to the lamentable care. or rather, the lack of, she received from the medical personnel. The indifference and neglect, and her most desperate hours, exacerbated her condition. The refusal to provide basic aid such as feeding or changing her were all blatant examples of the abuse she suffered, leading to her premature departure.
Kathleen was cherished, mother, sister, aunt, godmother, single mother and grandmother. She was also the loving owner to the family dogs, Princess and Paris whom she loved profoundly. She was a proud member of the NO MATTER WHAT CLUB, wearing her infinity tag with honor. She was a beaming light in our eyes, and her sudden unjust. Departure has left us in unfathomable pain and sorrow.
The abrupt shockwave that hit us with the loss of our beloved Kathleen has put us in precarious situations, notably the financial burden of organizing a respectable funeral and navigate through our ocean of grief and sorrow. Occupying her bedside, I had already suffered job demotion in efforts to ease her suffering, which only amplified our struggles.
