Hi, my name is John and I am Kate Pogson's uncle.

 

As we grieve the recent loss of Kate, we reflect on all the things that made her so special. Our thoughts are also drawn to an extraordinarily special place for Kate - the Sunny View (Junior and Senior Public) School on Blythwood. Sunny View is a congregated special education school serving students with complex physical, developmental, and / or medical and health needs.  The school was a magical place for Kate. In consultation with the Pogson Family, we have decided that we would love to give back to the School that gave Kate so much.

 

This GoFundMe campaign exists to raise funds that will go directly to the School. The school will use the funds to revamp their park, and we aim to name some portion of that park "The Kate Pogson Memorial". The intention is to create a longstanding piece of infrastructure that will serve as a memorial to the many people who have touched by Kate Pogson.

If you prefer to write a cheque directly you can make it out to "Sunny View Jr and Sr PS" and bring it with you to Kate's funeral service. There will be a collection box there as well.
