In Memory of Karl Plasa - Supporting Lette Plasa

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Karl Plasa, beloved husband of Lette Plasa, who passed away on Wednesday, March 26th, at 7:00 PM. Karl had been bravely battling health challenges, including undergoing dialysis for six years and enduring a stroke on January 7, 2025, which led to several months in the hospital and eventual leg amputation. Sadly, Karl passed away after another stroke on March 25th.

Many of you know Lette as an incredibly supportive and dedicated person. Her unwavering commitment to Karl throughout his health challenges has been truly remarkable. As her friend, I know how much Karl meant to Lette, and I am hoping to ease the burden of this loss in any way I can.

During this difficult time, Lette is also faced with unforeseen costs related to Karl’s memorial and final arrangements. I am reaching out to those who knew Karl and Lette to ask for your support. If you are able to make a donation towards Karl’s memorial, it would greatly help honour his life and ease the financial strain during this challenging time.

I have started a GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate the burden of memorial costs, outstanding bills, and the ongoing expenses of supporting Lette as she mourns. Lette is a strong and resilient woman, but she needs our help to navigate this difficult time. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to support Lette and her family as they grieve and rebuild their lives.

In closing, I would like to share that if love was all we needed to stay alive, Karl would have lived forever.
