In memory of Karl Detta

My name is Angie Clowry, a family friend of Lindsay and Mitch - I've known them all their lives as we "grew up" spending our summers at Whatshan Lake with our families. I was the MC at Lindsay and Wade's wedding.   Hoping you will join in supporting Karl's kids through this difficult time.  As  Funeral expenses and the additional bills that come up when someone we loved dearly has passed.  Anything you can contribute is much appreciated.

The sudden loss of Karl Detta leaves a huge hole in the hearts of many especially his son Mitchell, his daugther Lindsay, her husband Wade and their two girls.

Karl lost his life logging his property, as the machine he was using tumbled down the hillside.  We believe he did not suffer from his injuries.  With any death, costs, expenses and continuing to run his household quickly adds up.  It is my hope that those who are able, will give what they can to take a bit of the pressure off Mitch and Lindsay.  Karl loved his kids and grandkids and would often say, “Family is #1”.   With Lindsay and Wade residing in Alberta and here to settle the estate and Mitchell just starting his dream job this month – finances will be a challenge.

Karl loved living in Burton, growing up here and raising his kids in the area.  He was very proud of his work ethic, loved softball, loved the lakes, fishing and he enjoyed helping out his friends, family and neighbors and having a beer.  Karl will be greatly missed.
