Hello everyone, this story isn’t an easy one to write and each word chips at my soul. Karina Lizeth Abarca passed away on September 2nd 2025, 4 days after celebrating her 28th birthday. As I try to write this and find the words to express who she was and what she meant to me, my heart fills with a pain that makes life feel unworthy of living. Karina was a friend, a daughter, a sister, a mother and my partner that I failed to protect. She leaves behind a family that loved her, a son that still texts her and calls her expecting her to pick up, and her partner that still wakes up wishing it was a nightmare. Life doesn’t feel real anymore, the things I was fighting for are gone with her. Her son will graduate elementary, middle school, high school and college without his mom in the crowd. No matter what problems life through our way, Karina and I got through them and chose to be there for eachother. Now she’s gone and I will never be able to hold her and grow old with her like we talked about many times. Karina, I know you have passed on but your spirit lives on in your son and I, you are now up there in paradise resting and watching over us. Rest assured my beautiful, I will handle everything here and I will make our son into a great man, greater than anything I could ever be and I will make you proud along side him. Rest easy and in paradise Karina Lizeth Abarca, you will always live in us.
