In Memory of Justin Magargal
On June 16th, the world lost a good one. Justin passed away unexpectedly and left his family reeling with what comes next.
We all have a Justin story, allow me to tell you mine. I probably met the man when I was a baby, as our parents were really good friends. As life moved on, we lost touch. Back in 2010'ish, his Family came roaring into our lives again when my nephew started dating his daughter. I remember the phone call well. My Mom telling me that Paul was dating Justin's daughter, and Corky's granddaughter. Just totally blew my mind. When my Mom passed in 2012, 16 months shy of Paul's High School Graduation, the Magargals took him in. They welcome Paul like one of their "adoptive" children, and there are many of us, believe me. He was able to graduate with his class and passed every single one of his classes. Were there trying times? Absolutely, but Justin took over the role as Father Figure for Paul. Through his quick wit, and his sarcasm (God did he have that!!), he would make all of us smile and laugh just when we didn't think it was possible.
So now it's my turn. OUR TURN. To give back to the family that has given ALL of US so much. A roof over our heads, food in our bellies, and a warm place to land if we ever needed it. Tawnda and the girls need us. Help me help them move forward. Help me help them come to terms without their Patriarch. No one will ever take Justin's spot in this world, he was one of a kind. But if we can help heal just a little bit of their worry, then our job will be done.
I ask that you please donate whatever you can. Please consider adding a GoFundMe tip to your donation. This will off set the cost of the GFM.
