In Memory of Jun Alegre: Family Support Needed

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Maelene Alegre, and I’m reaching out to share the difficult news that my father, Jun Alegre, passed away this morning, November 25, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

In late May/early June 2024, my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma, which quickly spread throughout his body. The cancer began as a mass in his ribs, but unfortunately, it was a rare, aggressive form of lymphoma that proved very difficult to treat. Over the past several months, his condition worsened significantly. He was hospitalized numerous times, eventually needing tube feeding and losing his ability to walk. The cancer spread to his brain and behind his eyes, but through it all, he continued to fight.

My dad was a hardworking man, a devoted father, and a friend to many. His passing has left a huge void in our lives, and we are now turning to our community for support during this incredibly difficult time.

We are raising funds to cover the costs of funeral expenses and to help support our family through this challenging period. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would be greatly appreciated and will go directly toward honoring his memory.
