Hi, I'm julions mom. Julion left home 10 days after graduation of high school in 2016 and never came home. He took control of his life in a way he never had been able to before, and stopped his mental anguish once and for all. We were notified of his whereabouts and remains in April 2022 and have his remains now. The costs incurred were unexpected, in that we were all just getting by as it is and didn't think we'd have this to pay right now...no one ever does.
Add to this my son's father has had a string of bad luck also. As we were having our only son's remains processed, his dog had to be put down and my son's sister's dog also had to have emergency surgery as well as a death in their family out of state that was tended to by them.
I haven't been able to get medical clearance just yet to go back to work after all these years...or I would have taken care of this myself. My mom paid for this by financing it and we have to put off a memorial until later because we don't have money for it. If any of you knew my son, he literally came home wearing less than when he left because someone liked what he had on, or needed something and he wanted to help. He was known to just stop what he was saying and walk away to load groceries for anyone, or pick up stuff that fell off shelves. He was just a GOOD kid.
I know folks say oh, I wish we had it....but here's the thing. $5. That's it. Because in the end, if you gave that, and shared it, and say shared it twice a day every day even though you gave one time, and others did the same, it adds up.
I'm writing a book about him. I'd like to be able to note how many people cared, gave and said wonderful things, shared memories. So, please, share this, give what you can. We will have our public memorial around his birthday in February 19 2023, and we'll do what we can to go live for those who can't make it.
