As a lot of you know, after a long battle with Dementia, and a recent hospitalization due to a pneumonia, our Dad, Juan Perez Medina, has left this world to be with God. We are saddened by his passing and miss him dearly, though we are eased by the reality that he is no longer suffering on this side of Heaven. With his passing comes a new reality for our mom, Sherri. Caring for Juan around the clock for the last few years required Sherri to leave her job in order to provide for her husband. Due to government restrictions, she is not yet eligible to receive a continuation of her husband’s benefits as a survivor/widow, and wont be for a few years. Now, she begins the process of figuring out how to pay for some of the end of life care, funeral/burial expenses, and immediate living expenses.

So many friends and family have reached out asking how they can assist her in this time of need, as we come together as family and navigate this difficult time together. This is why we’ve decided to create this GoFundMe page on her behalf (despite her resistance). We appreciate so much all of the love that we’ve received during the past couple of weeks, and thank you all for your support of our family! May God bless you all- we love you!
