It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Joshua Zbinden, a devoted husband, loving father, passionate educator, and deeply cherished member of our community, who has now finished his brave and unwavering battle with cancer.
Joshua was a man of quiet strength, deep integrity, and unconditional love. As a dedicated educator, he poured his heart into his work and cared deeply for every student he had the privilege to teach. Nothing brought him more joy than being in the classroom — guiding, encouraging, and believing in the potential of each of his students. His legacy will live on not only through his family, but also in the lives he touched through education.
He leaves behind his wife, Rachel, and their beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Esther, who were the light of his life.
His presence brought warmth, stability, and joy to those who knew him — and his absence is felt deeply by all.
As Rachel begins to navigate life without her husband and partner, she now faces the enormous challenge of supporting their young daughter while managing the emotional and financial realities left in the wake of his passing. This includes end-of-life expenses, ongoing living costs, and planning for Esther’s future — a future Joshua had always worked so hard to secure.
This fund has been created for those who wish to honor Joshua’s life and legacy by helping ease the burdens placed on his young family. Your generosity will go directly toward funeral expenses, immediate household support, and a fund dedicated to Esther’s care and education.
Every donation, every share, and every kind word is a lifeline — and a reminder that this family is not alone.
Thank you for standing with them in this time of grief, with love, empathy, and hope.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Joshua’s niece,
Savanah Zbinden
