We are heartbroken to share the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, and father, Joseph Matthew Lopez.
At just 35 years old, Joseph was full of life and left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him. He carried himself with pride—always well dressed, always smelling fresh, always presenting his best. His presence filled every room, but it was his heart that made him truly unforgettable.
Joseph was deeply loyal and protective of his family. Whether you needed a hug, a laugh, or someone to stand beside you, he was always there. He loved with intensity, lived with joy, and never missed a chance to bring laughter to those around him.
One of the happiest moments of his life came on August 16, 2025, when he welcomed his newborn son into the world. Becoming a father filled him with hope and pride, even in the midst of his struggles.
Behind his strong exterior, Joseph faced silent battles—mental illness, depression, and the lingering weight of hardship. After serving nine years in prison, he returned home in 2024 determined to rebuild his life and move forward with strength. Despite his courage, the pain he carried was heavier than many of us could see. On August 22, 2025, Joseph tragically passed away after years of struggle.
Our family is raising funds to cover funeral expenses and give Joseph the farewell he deserves. Any support—whether through a donation or simply sharing his story—means the world to us.
Joseph, you were one of a kind. Your love, your laughter, and your presence will never be forgotten. Rest easy.
