I am Guadalupe Colorado, mother of 4 wonderful children: José Manuel Martínez (27), Ana (20), Jesus (13), and Jose Armando (24). My son José Manuel Martínez was only 27 years old with a whole life ahead of him. He was such a hardworking and joyful soul. He always loved being surrounded by his friends and family. My son was always the life of the party. He also had a beautiful daughter whom he left behind due to his passing. He was always trying to push for the best for his daughter and himself.

My son collapsed on November 2, 2025. He was found unresponsive by the ambulance exactly around 8:40 pm, right around the corner store from my house. My daughter ran once she received a phone call from a family friend asking her if that was my son. Once she got to the scene, the paramedics told her that he had no pulse and no chance of living. They told her they were going to keep pushing for 30 minutes more to find a pulse, which they did find a small one in his heart. My son was immediately rushed to the Emergency Room and connected to life support. The doctors gave us no hope of my son living anymore, but our family still had a lot of expectation and hope. We thought he was going to be up any minute on his own. Seeing my son like this, connected to so many medical machines so he could simply breathe, was so hard on all our family and friends. Never did I imagine going through this pain as a mother again. The doctors gave us no choice since they ran so many exams to get a slight response from his brain, but there was no signal of life anymore. So, my son unfortunately passed away due to brain death on November 4, 2025, at 3 pm exactly. We stayed with my son until the last breath he took, which was the most difficult. A small backstory of my other son, Jose Armando, who passed away at only 20 years old: Four years ago, my son Jose Armando also passed away in a car crash. He was hit by a drunk driver on his way back home. He was only 3 minutes away from getting home when his life was taken away in an instant. Never will I wish this upon any mother. This pain is forever, and I thank the LORD for all the strength he has given me to push harder now that I still have 2 of my beautiful children left.

I am asking for my community's, family, and friends' help with any type of donation for my son's funeral expenses. I know we are all going through a rough economic patch in these times, but any type of help is appreciated by heart.
