Our beloved father, Jose Lara, passed away suddenly on October 18th, 2025, at the age of 69. He was a wonderful, loving, and hardworking man who lived his life with joy, gratitude, and an endless love for his family.

My dad’s greatest happiness was seeing his family happy. Spending time with us meant everything to him. He worked tirelessly his entire life to provide for his wife and four children, always striving to give us the best opportunities. He often said he considered himself “rich,” because to him, true wealth came from seeing his family healthy, happy, and together.

My father was also a loving grandpa to his five grandsons. He loved finding ways to show them how much he cared — like hand-delivering pumpkins to them every Halloween, just to see their smiles. He would also bring them oranges from his backyard, proudly sharing the sweetest ones because he knew they couldn’t compare to store-bought fruit. He looked for every opportunity to bring his family together, whether there was an occasion or not.

Our family is heartbroken by this unexpected loss. We’ve created this GoFundMe for anyone who wishes to contribute — all donations will go directly toward covering his funeral expenses and honoring his memory.
