On Thursday, October 1, 2026, our family lost my brother-in-law, Jose Juan Ramirez Sanchez, who was tragically shot and killed in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Jose Juan was a loving husband, father, brother, and cherished member of our family. His wife and two daughters are now facing the unimaginable pain of losing him while trying to navigate life without him. To make this heartbreaking situation even more difficult, they no longer feel safe in their home due to the current situation. They are grieving while also living with fear and uncertainty.
