In Loving Memory of Jose Gavilanes
Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends, and Summit Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we let you know that Jose Gavilanes passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. As many of you know, Jose was a light in so many people's lives; he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a fiance, a friend, and family to many.
Jose was a loving and caring son to Sylvia and Gonzalo Gavilanes and a brother to Maria and Karla Gavilanes, and Silvia Hogan. He was an uncle to nine nieces and nephews that he cared for as if they were his own children. Jose is leaving behind a fiance, Melissa, whom he loved dearly.
As a Summit resident and a graduate of Summit High School, Jose was well known to many in the community. Jose was taken away from us too soon; however, during his short time here, he has made long-lasting friendships and familial bonds.
The Gavilanes family would like to thank everyone who reached out to us; your kindness is appreciated as we navigate the heartbreaking loss of Jose. Jose has left us at an early age; therefore, as you can imagine, we were not prepared for the financial expenses that come along with a proper memorial service. We kindly ask, if you can, to donate funds towards the memorial service. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers and keep Jose’s memory alive.
Thank you,
The Gavilanes Family
