In Memory of John W McGurn: Funeral Support

Our family is devastated by the sudden loss of John W McGurn, beloved father, brother, firefighter, husband, & friend to many. We are asking for any assistance in this extremely difficult time.

John tragically passed away from a heart attack, leaving behind his wife Michelle, his daughters Rosemary and Shannon, and their home, which he was the sole supporter of. Michelle is now facing legal issues that she was not prepared for that will require a lot of time and resources. I know that with the support of those who knew John, we can help her navigate this difficult time.

John was a shining example of kindness and generosity. He dedicated his life to the Chicago fire dept for 30 years. After he retired, he volunteered his free time at The Fire Museum of Greater Chicago. Once he passed, he continued to provide for others by donating his body to Gift of Hope organ and tissue donor. He was an exceptional father, husband, and friend, helping everyone any way he could.

I have no doubt that his legacy will continue to inspire us all to do good and help others.
