Agron (John) Rumi passed away April 20th, due to a heart attack. Bardha and her three sons are figuring out a new way of life, while meeting John's wishes of being laid to rest with his father, in Albania. John's passing was a shock to his family and friends and continues to be a shock to everyone who walks through the doors at Monty's Grill. John and Bardha have welcomed countless customers with warm smiles and greetings and many were transformed from customers to friends, and countless acquaintances.

These funds will go to the cost of sending John back to Albania, the family traveling to Albania for the service and to help offset the loss of income, as the restaurant will be closed for a few weeks. It is expected that this will happen at the end of May/early June. As it may take a little while for the word to spread to those who would like to assist, the GoFundme will be open until June 11th. All funds will go directly to Bardha.

Agron Rumi passed away on April 20th. Agron suffered a heart attack and left behind his wife and three children. 

He immigrated to America from Albania 21 years ago. In Albania he worked as a journalist and opposed the corruption and problems in his native country. Agron was inspired by America, its ideals and values. His mission was to move there and to create a bright future for his family. Agron's family was the most important part of his life and talked endlessly about his loved ones to anyone and everyone.

Agron worked tirelessly seven days a week for 21 years to build something his children would be proud of. Agron proudly worked as a chef providing for his children honestly and without causing problems for anyone else. Every day he put blood and sweat into the goal of his children living happy, honest, upstanding and fulfilling lives in the country he loved and would defend with all his heart, America.

Agron was a patriot. He loved the United States. He admired the honesty, hard work, liberty and ingenuity of its people. He believed America was the greatest country in the world. America was the place he wanted to raise his family no matter the effort.

Agron also loved his father. The rock Agron based his life on was his father. Every moral, value, and ideal he believed in came from his father. The tirelessness, work ethic and tenacity came from his father. 

Agron passed away recently and his wish was to be buried with his beloved father, in Albania. In light of Covid, it has become even more expensive to send the deceased by plane.

 Any help would be greatly appreciated. All expenses will go to helping his widow and three children, and covering the cost of Agron's burial with his father in Albania.
