Joel Marquez, a pilot for American Airlines, passed away suddenly on June 8, 2026. Joel leaves behind a 19 year old daughter Elilah, and a 1 year old grandson, Thiago. Joel was an amazing father, brother, son, and friend. He was a true professional working as a Captain on the 737. A Go Fund Me has been created to help with the expenses of his funeral and to help financially support his daughter and new born grandson as they now are forced to navigate a world without Joel or his support.
